Rallye Princesse Charlene

On Wednesday, April 3rd, the 8th edition of the Princess Charlene Rally was held, organized by the DENJS (Department of National Education, Youth and Sports) in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Peace and Sport, the Monaco Anti-Doping Committee and the Monaco Parents’ Association.

The aim of this event is to raise awareness among young school children about the values ​​of sport on the occasion of April 6th, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, through various competitive events and the presence of the Peace & Sport Champions for Peace.

Nearly 400 students from the 3rd year classes of the Principality’s schools (College Charles I, FANB Institution and Technical and Hotel School – SEGPA section), divided into teams, participated in the three highlights of the Rally.

• Conference with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and Peace & Sport (hosted by athletes: Kevin Crovetto (foundation ambassador), Claudia Verdino, Paula Radcliffe (foundation ambassador) – Film and discussion

• Drawing competition on the theme of sport and peace > hosted by Marlène Harnois

• Relay with ergometers

• Rescue course with the Académie de la Mer and Pierre Frolla (foundation ambassador)

• QCM questionnaire on the Foundation, Peace & Sport and Anti-Doping Committee

At the end of the morning, several prizes were awarded:

• Best team from Collège Charles II

• Best team from FANB

• Best team from Lycée Rainier III

• Solidarity prize, offered by APEM

• Drawing competition prize

• Podium: 3rd place, 2nd place, 1st place

The Rally ended with a souvenir photo “White Card”, a symbol of peace to celebrate April 6th day.
