The Water Safety Days are back in Calvi in 2022
The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is organising the “Water Safety Days” in Calvi on 10 and 11 June 2022.
Introductory workshops on rescue, first aid and water safety on the beach will be offered to children from Calvi. These workshops will be supervised by Pierre Frolla, Ambassador of the Foundation and four-time world record holder of freediving and his team from the CSAPM – Académie Monégasque de la Mer, with the support of the SNSM Station of Calvi and the firefighters of the city of Calvi.
On Saturday, June 11, in partnership with the City of Calvi and the Port Xavier Colonna, the public will be able to discover several associations on the port, attend demonstrations and participate in activities, such as:
- Waste recovery by technological means with the devices “Dpol” (Ekkopol company)
- Discovery of waste sorting and plastic recycling by the Mare Vivu association
- Discovery of marine fauna by STARESO (Underwater and Oceanographic Research Station of Calvi)
- Demonstration and handling of water bikes
- Introduction to scuba diving for children with Calvi Plongée
